B'nai Mitzvah

Do you have a child who is approaching 13 and your not sure how to provide them with a ceremony that will be meaningful to your whole family. A Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration is an amazing way to recognize the beautiful ways in which your child is maturing and becoming an adult. If you have never belonged to a synagogue, or believe that a more individualized process would be better for your family, Cantor Shira Batalion can create a beautiful and memorable ceremony that honors your child, your family, and Jewish tradition.

Cantor Shira Batalion has 10 years of experience working with B'nai Mitzvah students, as a Rabbi, Cantor, Hebrew and Trope Tutor, and Event planner. She has worked effectively with students with special needs, dyslexia, and autism.

Students meet weekly to study prayers, a Torah portion, Jewish rituals and history. Students may also do a social action project, write a speech on their Torah Portion (D'var) and learn the meaning of the B'nai Mitzvah process.

Students can meet by Skype, Google video chat, or phone with the Cantor weekly for 7-9 months before their B'nai Mitzvah.

Cantor Shira Batalion will work together with you to create a ceremony that is meaningful and will serve as a beautiful memory for your child and and your whole family.
